Antibacterial effect of papaya latex on Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeroginosa in vitro / Manolito Go [and ten others]
Subject(s): Abstract: This experiment study deals with the in vitro quantitative determination of the antibacterial effect of Carica papaya latex on Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeroginosa using the Kirby-Bauer method of sensitivity testing. Also to compare any significant difference between the effectivity of using a 100% and 50% concentration of papaya extract. The researchers hypothesized that there is no significant antibacterial effect of Carica papaya extract on the microorganisms nor a significant comparison on effectivity between 100% and 50% latex concentrations. The group extracted the papaya latex by puncturing the external coat of the fruit, collected and performed by Kirby Bauer method of antibacterial sensitivity, using Wattman paper disks previously immersed in the collected latex.| Cover image | Item type | Current library | Home library | Collection | Shelving location | Call number | Materials specified | Vol info | URL | Copy number | Status | Notes | Date due | Barcode | Item holds | Item hold queue priority | Course reserves | |
