Florendo, Garret L. Garcia3 aThe World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) states that the aim of family medicine is to provide personal, comprehensive and continuing care for the individual in the context of the family and the community. It is in this context that family physicians are dealt with a unique mission of not just caring for the patient, but for his/her family with the involvement of the community as well. Today, we present a patient whose caregiver cares for two patients at the same time. The family enters a homecare program where a healthcare team carefully dissects and manages their biological, psychological and social challenges. Here, we will also see how family physicians can help coordinate the actions of community members to produce fruitful results. The case is a highlight of how family physicians can shine as healers, spiritual advisers, community motivators and family builders. aThe Filipino Family Physician, 2013 51 (1) pages 36-55 2aPhysicians, Family 2aCaregivers1 aFlorendo, Charles Edward G. 1 aGarcia, Garret L.
