Recurrent urinary tract infections in women /
Isabelita M. Samaniego
Recurrent urinary tract infection (UTI) is a common problem in women of all ages. Its successful treatment depends on a combination of behavioural modifications and rational antibiotic therapy designed to interrupt the reinfection cycle. While most women with recurrent UTIs have structurally normal urinary tract and will respond well to treatment, it is important to identify those women in whom further investigation is required.
